1. Self selecting online poll..
... not worth a bucket of warm spit. Without even going there I'll bet it is a wingnut site.

4. You should try living in Texas -
I am in the same county as Ron Paul. You can imagine how excited we were just to get a good showing for Obama in the last election, much less win.

I am quite disappointed in the administration so far, but this jobs program is the best thing I've heard from them. I will be watching closely to see if they can get it passed (and if it is obstructed who causes that to happen).

Are you willing to have your taxes raised or benefits cut to pay for it?
Edited on Tue Sep-07-10 06:57 AM by stray cat
All polls should include a willingness to pay for it. I'm in favor of it but I also know it's not monopoly money - it's my money

I looked at an article there about the new law they want.... county employees not being able to stay in a hotel that has pay per view porn. Which must mean they think all their employees are porn freaks and will look at it if it's offered. LOL red is really red.

9. Same with Vern Buchanan's poll: 26-63 against

Also a Red zone here. I wonder what the polls would say if they said it was a rethug proposing it (ie: Orange-man) instead of Obama. I'd bet it would be the exact opposite results.

10. Obama could get up and say he was going to send everyone
in your state $500 and they'd vote against it even if they were starving.

11. How many unemployed are in their 40s and older who never did manual labor? I bet a bunch.
This won't help them.

12. I'm in my 50s and do manual labor every day.
But the rebuilding of our crumbling infrastructure is not stimulating the economy just by putting construction workers back to work. Those construction workers then go out and spend their money unlike the uber rich who hoard their money in off-shore accounts. These workers will spend for services and other things, and all that buying will include some American goods and services.

13. exactly right! Job losses trickle down - and putting people back
to work in some sectors help put people back to work in MANY sectors.

14. Now if they had a poll that
added a few more words to the question would it had changed the response?

Do you agree with President Obama's proposal to spend $50 billion to rebuild roads, railways and runways that will save lives?

Or should roads, railways and runways be left as they are so people can be killed? Especially, kids.

20. It would have happened anyways, whether it was Obama or a Repube congress that did it.
They always pass these transportation bills, Repubes and Dems pass them all the time. Don't let the spin get to you.
