"It's floodin' down in Texas"
so sang Stevie Ray. Today it came true. About 9 am I witnessed a rescue of two people from a house along the San Gabriel River, near the intersections of Routes 29 and 95, east of Georgetown and north of Taylor, TX. Starflight and Williamson County officials have rescued many people here today.

I'm sure they'll still get a big kick out of it.

3. Not so bad downtown
Kind of sunny. Rain cleared out on the west side around 7 last night. My friend in Dallas tells me they're getting hammered today.

7. Wow, too much
We got 14+ inches in the last 24 hours up here in the Georgetown area. Many people were stranded and had to be rescued by whatever means were available, including Starflight helicopters. There is an RV park east of Georgetown that was totaled by the San Gabriel River. No one was killed or injured, but some people lost everything they had. :(
