Joe Arpaio is STILL Sheriff. If the law doesn't obey the law there is no law, just a fight for survival.

Jan Brewer looks to be getting stronger even though she showed herself to be a mental case.

I've lived nearly my entire life here and have been in Phoenix since the state had less than a million citizens. I LOVE it here, but the people wear their hate on their sleeve and assume that I think like they do.

I can no longer stand it and am actively looking for work elsewhere. It breaks my heart--I remember my mom and dad campaigning for Raul Castro and Bruce Babbitt.

5. Help is on the way! Me & the Missus are moving to Tucson for a year

Should be interesting after growing up in the S.F. Bay Area and being left of Kucinich, but I think Tucson has a higher proportion of sane people than much of the rest of the state.

We will be moving in December. Sorry but we have to stay in Calif long enough to vote for Barb and Jerry.

Even though I know there will be some culture shock, I'm actually looking forward to the move. California has become such a nanny state, especially with their gun laws but also with almost everything else from smoking to having your dogs in the front seat of your car, that I'm ready to leave.

I'm moving to Tucson to help my wife take care of her aging mother who happens to live in Tucson. My wife has relatives in Tucson. I retire on Oct. 1 and can live a hell of a lot cheaper in Tucson than I can in Silicon Valley so why would I not move?

I've been in AZ for 15+ years and I'm convinced that the Tucson metro areas is the ONLY part of the state that I could live. It is, by far, the most diverse, educated and liberal cities in the state, thanks largely to the University of Arizona.

But don't kid yourself, Tucson has a lot of reactionary noise-makers.

I came here and did progressive talk in this valley. I soon discovered there was a divide that I found very harmful for Democrats, and that was the Tucson Democrats had a rift with the Phoenix Democrats and the Flagstaff Democrats and all had a problem with the others. I invited Tucson Democrats on my show as I did Flagstaff Democrats but eventually I would hear from them about this division. This is one reason Brewer is so far ahead because we are a divided lot in our party over useless crap. I have people in Tucson and Flagstaff I think highly of but this divide makes it harder to work together. We really need to stop it or we just add to the loonies growing stronger.
