Mural Of First Israeli Drafted Into The NBA Is Defaced With Swastika

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―

A mural featuring Sacramento Kings player Omri Casspi, who is from Israel, has been defaced with a Swastika. Sacramento police are now investigating.

The mural, which is in downtown Sacramento at 16th and R streets near a light rail station, features a large close up painting of Casspi's face along with the words Sacramento Kings.

Someone painted the swastika in between Casspi's eyes on the mural. It's unclear how long the swastika has been on the mural, but it appears someone attempted to scratch it off.

Sacramento code enforcement officers are on their way to cover up the swastika.
