Wow, what a concept! And I can't wait until the GOP explains why they hate that idea.

2. Holy shit! He really suggested this?
I mean, it's one of those, well, duh, yeah kind of ideas unless you're a politician who's getting paid big bucks by corporations to make it easier to move their headquarters to an overseas PO Box for tax purposes.

11. A loophole was closed on this very thing. It probably grew 12 more since just recently having
passed that idea.

7. Man, I wish I could K&R this 1000 times!
Obama is finally channelling FDR. FDR did not start out as FDR, btw. His advisers labelled him "conservative" and a "friend of the rich and big business" during his first two years. Read "Hard Times" by Studs Terkel, the section about "The New Deal".

9. Damn that's almost what I was saying about extending the
tax cuts. I knew if creating jobs or the tax cuts went back in to effect would not get republican support, so I wasn't worried about giving it to them. this is on the same order but better.

16. There should be no perks for any company that ships jobs overseas
I remember cries of "XENOPHOBIA!" a few years ago on DU, before the economy took a nose dive. It's got nothing to do with xenophobia. It's got to do with providing a structure for American men and women, in America, to make a living.

18. No freaking kidding - this is what I've been dreaming about
since day one.

Jobs program like the Roosevelt ones (although this is extremely small) and these tax breaks for companies that actually keep jobs in the US....

Mo Bettah!!!
