My husband is Jewish. We're having a low-key celebration tonight; there will be matzoh ball soup and challah on our holiday table. Mostly, there will be thankfulness for friends near and far.

May your year be sweet as well.

Maybe it's just our household, but when diversity is present, it's an opportunity for education.

10. Nothing really,

My partner isn't Jewish and we don't often celebrate any religious holidays. I just say a silent prayer (or two) and hope the new year will be a good one. I will probably have honey and apples tomorrow and fresh french bread, "oy vey, mes amis," but this is New Orleans. :)
