Sink is Starting to Pull Away in Florida (latest CNN Poll)
Alex Sink holds a seven-point lead over Republican rival Rick Scott in the race for Florida governor, according to a new CNN-Time poll released Wednesday.

"Sink is doing well among independents and moderate voters. She pulls two-thirds of the vote among moderates, and beats Scott among independents by a 50 to 37 percent margin," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland... http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/403455/abel-harding/2010-09-08/cnn-poll-sink-leads-scott-rubio-has-slight-edge-over

1. Can't say I'm disappointed, but can't say I'm happy.
She's better than the Medicare thief on other side, but her election will further enshrine Republican policies within our own party.

8. There was so much dirt thrown around by the Repigs in the Primary
she has a lot of room to stay classy.

Meanwhile, Scott has used up his negative quota. You can only go to that well so often before you turn voters off. It seems that is what is happening. They are getting sick of his face, literally.

12. yeah - his commercials have been shown much less that pre-primary or
even right after the primary.

I think you are right - they are sensing the voters are turned off with his dirty politics.

2. There is another full month of campaigning before the election
Democrats are on the upswing, not just in the Florida Governor's race, but across the country.

Don't believe the Main Stream Media about the massive Republican take over in Congress. It is not going to happen just because the MSM wants it too. The voters still have the last say on the day of the election.

3. In the same poll Meek is only 10% behind Crist...
However, Rubio is showing up 2% on Crist. That is MOE stuff. I think that race is going to come down to a photo finish.

4. I have been saying all along the electorate is extremely volatile this year
It would not shock me to see multiple swings before the election in races across the country.

this is truly great news, given the alternative. I have been and will keep sending money her way.

10. Watch out for extreme dirty politics from Scott
I am just waiting for Scott's offensive (in more ways than one) push, now that FL seems to have at least temporarily regained our senses. Sink needs to stay on message and let the voters know more about her plans.

14. I know a couple of sane Republicans (yes there is such a thing)
who told me they voted for Scott in the primary as a vote against McMonkeyface but would not be doing the same in the GE. :-)

There's currently a very laughable anti-Sink ad on the tee vee identifying her as a liberal who is being supported by the King of all Liberals Obama. :eyes:

Now if only people would wise up to Rubio.....

16. Meet the Parents
Rubio's ad asks voters to vote for his parents.
Why doesn't he say anything about himself? Is he ashamed about being a Neanderthal?
His politics, and his party, will prevent people like his parents from coming here to begin with.

17. Bwah! Mel Martinez (remember him!) did a similar ad iirc.
I heard Scott Maxwell (Orlando Sentintel) on the radio yesterday saying he believes the media "is in love" with Lil' Marco (who is doing a JEB! first name only campaign) and are hesitant , or unwilling, to say mean(truthful) things about him.

Why does the music in that ad bring to mind 'Schindler's List'? (rhetorical but ya know....)and that "Reclaim America" slogan...:eyes:

15. That's good news, but we have to get to the polls.
I am fearful of a very poor turnout.

Go, Alex!
