President Barack Obama spent part of Labor Day at Labor Fest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. An estimated 7000 workers turned out to hear the President’s message regarding investing in infrastructure. Kathy Harmon is an employee with Milwaukee County and she said she was mostly pleased with the President’s address.

: I like the talk about maintaining unions and middle class workers and keeping jobs here in America.

However, one topic the President didn’t address at Labor Fest and hasn’t tackled much during his first two years is the issue of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Harmon explained that NAFTA is contributing to jobs in the United States going overseas.

: It’s a one way street, we’re buying from foreign countries that aren’t buying from us. And if a U.S. company goes overseas we need to charge a big tax for sending it back here.
