Obama, Elizabeth Warren, Meet Amid Speculation She Could Be Picked To Head CPA
WASHINGTON — Elizabeth Warren, a popular but polarizing consumer advocate, met with President Barack Obama at the White House Tuesday, adding to speculation she could be named to head a new consumer protection agency.

Warren also met with senior administration officials last month. However, White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said other candidates are still being considered and that no decision has been made on who will lead the agency, which was created under terms of the financial overhaul bill Obama signed into law earlier this year. <snip>

1. That little polarizing dig in there sucks ass. The polarization is over the moon corporate
clingons made from school TP opposed by everybody else, including about all the Republicans saner than an emu on acid.

Controversial depends mightily on precious few soul's opinion and the media drives a narrative to support their wishes. It usually works but not always.

2. K&R We need to watch Obama on this.
It is really important that Elizabeth Warren be appointed to that job. And we want her appointed precisely because she is "polarizing." We need someone who polarizes in the direction of ordinary Americans, not just in the direction of the bankers.

Right now, Obama's aides are 100% polarized toward the banks and the wealthy.

Please, please, Obama appoint Elizabeth Warren.

Your voters would like at least one representative on your cabinet.

5. The fact she hasn't been appointed is disquieting
Defending consumers is now considered polarizing? Was that Julie Pace's characterization, or is she repeating something she heard off the record.

I don't think it will happen, but I hope she is picked.
