Can Democrats use the nuclear option to get more judges confirmed

If I'm not mistaken, if President Obama moves judicial nominations thru recess appointments, it can only be until the end of this session of Congress....But, what about the nuclear option?...Can that be used so as to prevent GOP stall tactics on judicial nominations...
