The Girl Scouts allow homosexuals and atheists to join their ranks, and they have become a pro-abortion, feminist training corps. If the Girl Scouts of America can't get back to teaching real character, perhaps it will be time to look for our cookies elsewhere.

We had day camp for the Brownie's in the summer, which was mainly communing with nature, crafts, singing songs, then in preparation for the big night sleep out under the stars, learning to safely build campfires, cook on a coffee can over a fire, etc.

In Girl Scout camp (2 weeks) there were rotating schedules of cleaning latrines, helping with food or cleaning up afterwards. One year was devoted to learning to rig a sail on a small sail boat and learning to sail, one year was devoted to horses. I loved the horses and we had to learn to trot, gallop, groom them, clean out stalls and the biggy was the night toward the end of the 2nd week when we went on a long ride and overnight camping...build those fires and cook on those coffee cans yet again.

I learned about working and playing nice with others, a whole sense of 'we're in this together'. Loved it!
