Puget sound: Two police shootings in one day, 4 in one week, one tazer death
In what has been an extraordinarily violent week in Puget Sound by any normal measure of events, there were two more police involved shootings in Puget Sound Friday.

Friday night in West Seattle police were involved in a shooting with a man who reportedly was wielding an assault type rifle, and on the same day earlier in the afternoon a man brandishing a knife was fatally shot by two Tacoma police officers.

1. To much Glen Beck
My nephew lives in Graham and he has gotten involved with some friends who got him into watching Glen Beck, and he has gone way out there in his thinking. I have talked to him several times, and he brings up the problems in the country and then starts quoting from Glen Beck. I have told him he really needs to check out what he hears because not all he might hear is true. I pointed out a few things to him the Beck claims that were wrong, and he said he would check them out, but I really doubt he did. He has always been a follower and he has let his old friends from school get him all worked up about the way the country is going, and I really worry for him.

I think there are a lot of nuts out there, especially in the bigger cities. I live on the east side of the mountains, republican country, but we don't seem to see as much of the nuts running around over here, although we do have "tea party" groups, not very big, but still a tad crazy. I used to live on the coast, in Everett, but moved back over here many years back. I always see the radicals complaining when ever a democrat is president, but I think it's even worse now that we have a black president. People I know who never really took sides politically, are listening to Rush and Beck and now are all worked up blaming president Obama for everything under the sun. As I said so far no violence has come of it, but that could change!
