Gallup poll: majority favor ending tax cuts for the rich, disagree with Boehner
http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/domestic-taxes/117995-new-poll-finds-americans-support-ending-tax-cuts-for-the-wealthy

A majority of those polled by Gallup agree with President Obama that Bush-era tax cuts for the rich should be phased-out.

Forty-four percent of those polled want tax cuts for individuals making less than $200,000 and families under $250,000 to be extended, but favor phasing out tax cuts for people who earn more than those thresholds.

Another 15 percent favor allowing the tax cuts for the rich to expire along with the middle-class tax cuts, according to Gallup.

That means 59 percent favor ending the tax cuts for the rich.

(snip)
A large number of Republicans disagree with Boehner, according to the poll.

2. That is actually good news, and indicates people are not as dumb as the financial networks have been
throwing out the propaganda that "Obama" is trying to raise your taxes and destroy the economy

This unfortunately includes bloomberg with the rest of the clowns spewing the removing the bush tax breaks

This morning they were yelling how these poor rich, "those that make over 1 million", will be paying 45K more in taxes", and how that affect THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND people

Not putting it into perspective that their are 300 MILLION people in the country, and those 300K are NOT representative of most people

3. what's this "phased out" shit?
"the Hill" seems to have added that. Here's the Gallup article and I don't see anything about phasing anything out:

It's important because the greedheads are going after a TEMPORARY extension of the tax cuts.

5. Obama and the Democratic candidates need to flog this repeatedly until November.
Not only will this message sway moderate Republicans and Independents, it will also help turn out the Democratic base. Keep it simple and focus on the results if the Bush tax cuts for the rich are renewed, which the Republicans have been saying they want to do.
