On the eve of ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, President Obama said Osama bin Laden has gone "deep underground" because of U.S. pressure on al-Qaida.

Obama said it remains a high priority to capture or kill the al-Qaida leader who was the architect of the terror attacks in New York, in which the World Trade Center buildings were destroyed and thousands of people died.

Obama also said he will keep up the pressure on Afghan President Hamid Karzai to clean up corruption in his government.
