Bill Clinton helping two more Dems

Bill Clinton continues to be the omnipresent helper for Democratic candidates this cycle.

Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Dan Onorato (D) on Friday announced a joint rally with the former president, who also sent an e-mail on behalf of Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) to her supporters.

"Carolyn is what I call a 'how' politician," Clinton wrote. "She passed the most important piece of anti-rape legislation in modern history." He went on to list Maloney's support for 9/11 first responders' access to healthcare and getting mammograms covered by Medicare. "We need her creative, persistent effectiveness in Congress," he added.

Clinton is set to appear Monday with Onorato in West Philadelphia. He's also headlining a rally and fundraiser for Ohio Senate candidate Lee Fisher (D) on Sunday in Cincinnati. And on Tuesday he has events in Cleveland and Columbus to help Gov. Ted Strickland (D).

1.  President Clinton’s Busy Dance Card, to appear with Lee Fisher in Cincinnati
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/09/10/former-president-clintons-busy-dance-card/

Trying to capture some momentum in Ohio’s Senate race, Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, the Democratic candidate, has called in reinforcements this weekend – former President Clinton, who has proven to be a popular presence for Democrats on the campaign trail this year.

Mr. Clinton is set to appear with Mr. Fisher on Sunday in Cincinnati, the home turf of Republican Senate contender Rob Portman, the former Bush administration official who has been leading Mr. Fisher in the polls and the bank account. Mr. Fisher has a long relationship with Mr. Clinton, dating back to Mr. Clinton’s bid for president in 1992, and Mr. Fisher supported Hillary Rodham Clinton for president in 2008.

With some candidates anxious about appearing with President Obama, Mr. Clinton is a sought-after substitute. After his rally with Mr. Fisher, the former president is set to campaign Monday in Pennsylvania with gubernatorial candidate Dan Onorato. He is then scheduled to return to Ohio to appear with Gov. Ted Strickland, hit the trail in Minnesota Tuesday for Mark Dayton, the former senator running for governor, and then appear in Nevada Wednesday with Rory Reid, Democratic candidate for governor.
