This weekend I'm going to burn a slew of Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin books

I'm going to get a ravaging bonfire going on in my mini-backyard and toss those damn books in there and watch them go up in flames. I'll think up of some random threat as to why these particular books need to be burned and I ought to get my hair cut before the media descends upon my house and gives me 24x7 coverage of this event.


If you can read this, this thread really is just about the stupidity of the coverage of the book burning by that dumbass preacher looking for 15 minutes of fame. Personally I have no desire to burn books although when I get my first winter heating bill I might find book burning way cheaper than my gas bill. But that's another story. Thing is I know how the media can get and let's face it I just KNOW I'll be talked about day-in and day-out for the next week or so. Perhaps Donald Trump will offer to buy my house and move it 5 blocks north of where it is, give me a ring if you're interested Donald!

4. The problem with this is

like George Harrison said when people were burning Beatles albums, "they have to buy them to burn them". So Palin and Beck dont care if you burn them, because you just gave them more money, and that is the reason they are doing what they are doing because they are making lots and lots of money doing it.

That's what I found so amusing about the Dixie Chick CD burn (along with the fact that the damn things don't burn, they just melt and give off toxic fumes) - there was an uptick in sales of their CDs so that people could burn them.
