that is not a DOJ that wants to defend a policy.

WTF? As much as I hate DADT, that kind of half-assedness is at the level of legal malpractice.

I know the attorneys representing Prop 8 didn't exactly do a bang up job.

6. DOJ does not do that usually.
Most folks hate to go to bat against the DOJ.
