1. These men still benefit from the wrong things
they have done.
It's a terrible thing that criminals on this scale can benefit by crime.

20. Hitler on little lies and big lies:
the guy was an epic sociopath, but he knew what he was talking about when it came to suckering people:

In view of the primitive simplicity of their minds they more easily fall a victim to a big lie than to a little one, since they themselves lie in little things, but would be ashamed of lies that were too big.

Such a falsehood will never enter their heads and they will not be able to believe in the possibility of such monstrous effrontery and infamous misrepresentation in others; yes, even when enlightened on the subject, they will long doubt and waver, and continue to accept at least one of these causes as true.

4. In fact they made us more vulnerable to more terrorist attacks
in the way they went about the "war on terror" which really means killing innocent civilians. The bush/cheney cabal's whole intent was to cause hate and discontent that would last for as long as the middle east has cheap to get too oil.
Personally I think the ICC and the Dock at the Hague is their final destination. The whole lot of the criminal crew. :hi:

15. "Do the orders still stand?"
There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, 'The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.' And when it got down to, 'The plane is 10 miles out,' the young man also said to the vice president, 'Do the orders still stand?' And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, 'Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?' Well, at the time I didn't know what all that meant. -- Norman Mineta, (4)

14. You want facts? This site has FACTS about build up to the war,
facts and interactive references.
Lest we forget after "they" re=write history.

Example:

Sept. 19. 2001 Rumsfeld, Perle call two-day meeting. Outcome summarized in The PNAC Letter, signed by Perle.

Quotes from the Neocon Letter of 9/20/2001
"Even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, ... remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq."
"... any war against terrorism must target Hezbollah."
"We should insist that the Palestinian Authority ... imprison those planning terrorist attacks against Israel."

The site also has FACTS on the neo-cons report on their 1983 plans to create a crisis as an excuse to
privatize Soc. Sec.
Now we are hearing that "crisis" all over the news.

Good site, highly recommend:

I make pdfs out of pages that I figure will disappear one day soon, then archive them on discs.
Remember how the original PNAC site disappeared?
archive.org still had it a few months ago, tho.

34. I am confused also about current site.
I did find this in Wiki just now:

"By the end of 2006, PNAC was "reduced to a voice-mail box and a ghostly website", with "a single employee" "left to wrap things up", according to the BBC News.<24> According to Tom Barry, "The glory days of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) quickly passed."<25> In 2006, Gary Schmitt, former executive director of the PNAC, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and director of its program in Advanced Strategic Studies, stated that PNAC had come to a natural end:

When the project started, it was not intended to go forever. That is why we are shutting it down. We would have had to spend too much time raising money for it and it has already done its job. We felt at the time that there were flaws in American foreign policy, that it was neo-isolationist. We tried to resurrect a Reaganite policy. Our view has been adopted. Even during the Clinton administration we had an effect, with Madeleine Albright saying that the United States was 'the indispensable nation'. But our ideas have not necessarily dominated. We did not have anyone sitting on Bush's shoulder. So the work now is to see how they are implemented.<24>

PNAC was replaced by the Foreign Policy Initiative."

The Foreign Policy Initiative site has same people heading it as PNAC...says wiki:

Board of Directors

* William Kristol
* Robert Kagan
* Dan Senor

Project staff

* Jamie Fly, Executive Director
* Ellen Bork, Director, Democracy and Human Rights
* Abe Greenwald, Policy Advisor and Online Editor
* Rachel Hoff, Director of External Affairs

Never forget that either. Funny that there has never been a serious national discussion about that coup. I often wonder how much the CJs 'little drug problem' influenced that decision.

28. Outside of DU, the longest conversation I had with anyone about the coup was
when I was living in Brasil in 2003, after I met one of the country's most famous musicians, Caetano Veloso. We were sitting next to each other at a João Bosco concert and began to talk about the coup. Caetano was the first to mention the word "coup", which opened up the conversation. He was as much intrigued with the knowledge I provided regarding the Bushler&Co. cabal as I was concerning his escape from the Brazilian dictatorship installed by the U.S. Government.

Edited on Sat Sep-11-10 10:21 AM by Swamp Rat
one of the men behind Pinochet's coup.... oh, and there's Reagan/Bush, responsible for countless deaths and systematic torture in Central America.

"Reagan Was the Butcher of My People:" Fr. Miguel D’Escoto Speaks From Nicaragua

"The 8 years Reagan was in office represented one of the most bloody eras in the history of the Western hemisphere, as Washington funneled money, weapons and other supplies to right wing death squads. And the death toll was staggering–more than 70,000 political killings in El Salvador, more than 100,000 in Guatemala, 30,000 killed in the contra war in Nicaragua. In Washington, the forces carrying out the violence were called "freedom fighters." This is how Ronald Reagan described the Contras in Nicaragua: "They are our brothers, these freedom fighters and we owe them our help. They are the moral equal of our founding fathers."

Fr. Miguel D’Escoto, a Catholic priest based in Managua, Nicaragua. He was Nicaragua’s Foreign Minister under the Sandinista government in the 1980s.

FATHER MIGUEL D’ESCOTO: First of all, let me start out by saying that, of course, Reagan is now dead. And I, for one, would like to say only nice things about him. I’m not insensitive to the feelings of many U.S. people mourning president Reagan, but as I pray that god in his infinite mercy and goodness forgive him for having been the butcher of my people, for having been responsible for the deaths of some 50,000 Nicaraguans, we cannot, we should not ever forget the crimes he committed in the name of what he falsely labeled freedom and democracy.

More perhaps than any other U.S. President, Reagan convinced many around the world that the U.S. is a fraud, a big lie. Not only was it not democratic, but in fact the greatest enemy of the right of self-determination of peoples. Reagan, as you mentioned just a few minutes ago, was known as the great communicator, and I believe that that is true only if one believes that to be a great communicator means to be a good liar. That he was for sure. He could proclaim the biggest lies without even as much as blinking an eyelash. Hearing him talk about how we were supposedly persecuting Jews and burning down non-existent synagogues, I was led to believe really, that Reagan was possessed by demons. Frankly, I do believe Reagan at that time as much as Bush today was indeed possessed by the demons of manifest destiny."
