September 11 and how much abuse steals power
So yes, we have cable... and of course there are endless programs on it...

MSNBC was reruning the coverage from that day... the history Channel was doing their usual. So I watched 10 minutes of both. The first had the same power it did oh nine years ago... the second... there is something missing... it feels wrong in a way.

Of course I remember where I was that day... and my sister's hysterical call at oh five in the morning local time... (I was in Hawaii, hubby was on a sub in the Western Pacific). I do remember how my heart sank, as we WERE AT WAR. But the History Channel program was pure and sheer exploitation... while the repeat of the actual feed, albeit a tad edited and just the highlights... was adequate.

Then of course I changed the channel and watching Mexican Soccer league... far better than anything else on the tube... speaks volumes.

Then again the explosion the other day in San Fran was not worthy of breaking into regular coverage... which speaks also volumes as to what is going on in the North East corridor and our priorities...

Oh and in my mind 9.11 should become a day of peace, not of war. But that is for another day.
