The American voting public reminds me of the crazed boosters for a college football team.
They all think that they know what's best for the team and if they haven't won the national title yet, they want to fire the coach. THey don't really know what would make a good coach, but they somehow know that this isn't the right guy.

Which is true I think for about sixty or seventy percent of Americans..
