Anyone know what Mike Malloy's take on the new AirAmerica ownership/mgmt?

1. I doubt that's going to happen

He's working his way back onto many affiliates, but a lot of those same affiliates might also air Stephanie Miller in the morning or (God help them) Ed Schulz some time in the mid day or maybe some other alternate program like Lionel at night. There are a lot of "Air America" affiliates out there who don't carry the full AAR schedule.

Actually Mike Malloy seems excited about the future of Nova M Radio and promises big things to come. He hasn't elaborated on what that means exactly, but I doubt Air America has any involvement.

I've been reading about stations playing some AAR shows as well as Mike (Portland?)..

My 'dream' lineup would be he, Thom Hartmann and Sam Seder...

3. I hear ya......

I got XM radio primarily to hear Air America back in the day, and that mostly because of Malloy. I almost cancelled when the Glaser regime stabbed Mike in the back, but kept it going because they switched Sam Seder to mornings. Al Franken bores the Hell out of me, but now that he's leaving and Hartmann will be on in his place I might have to keep my subscription going after all.

Like you said ,Franken is boring. Sam in the morning is a great show most of the time. Randi kept me a subscriber. She is a sweetheart. The Young Turks are good although you can tell they have the one dude in there to keep a check on the other dude. I dont get to catch thier show often thats why Im not sure of thier names but the one guy ,you can tell, would love to just start hitting these nazis for all hes worth.
Laura Flanders is a really smart lady and she is entertaining a majority of the time.

I wonder why the big wigs wont let any of them discuss 911 ?

5. Most liberal talk stations mix n' match

They take programming from a variety of syndicators (including AAR). Many even do local programming.

IMO, this is the best approach. Why not combine the best of what's out there?

4. Mike has no problem with being affiliated with AAR affiliates.

7. From his comments last night, he's not sure they've been "saved".

He didn't sound too optimistic that AAR would stay open much longer, even with the new owner.

Malloy is committed to Nova M Radio. AAR burned him, he won't be going back.
