Obama: Critics 'talk about me like a dog'
President Obama strayed from his prepared remarks at a Labor Day rally to accuse his opponents of talking about him "like a dog."

Obama was in Milwaukee to speak at the Milwaukee Laborfest, attended by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. He used the speech to promote his $50 billion infrastructure plan and to criticize Republicans ahead of crucial midterm elections.

"Some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and they're not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. That's not in my prepared remarks, but it's true," he told the union crowd.

The president isn't known to stray off prepared remarks and also took a more aggressive tone in the speech.

My opinion: The President is right, his critics do talk about him like he's a dog.

5. You seem to have forgotten Lee Atwater
to name but one a few that predated Newt's rise to prominence.

As to the OP, it's old news.

6. The more Obama tries to please and appease the Neocons,
the more they despise him and treat him like a dog. That is the mentality of the psychopathic
Neocons.

They respect two things only: 1. Profit. 2. Fear of Punishment. Their behavior shows the
same traits. Look at the way Bush bulldozed through congress during his two terms. If Obama
had tried to crush the Neocons in the same way, they would have had more respect for him.
Treating them like gentlemen is like "casting pearls before swine."

Obama has never understood that psychopaths are not normal. These are sick people. Offering
them bipartisanship is the most dangerous to do, because they would work at his destruction
from the inside, just as they have quietly and secretively taken over the Republican Party
from the inside, and usurped the powers of the former Republican leaders. They were smart
enough to keep the GOP name. The majority of Republican members aren't even aware of the
take-over.

It would be far safer to have a Neocon as an open enemy. They need to be watched -- every
step of the way.

15. True. There are some Democrats and Independents treating
him that way out of sheer frustration, among other things. But the Neocons are the main ones.

8. He should remember how that feels next time he is asked about gay marriage.
Then, adjust his answer accordingly.

10. So anyone that attacks and verbally abuses the President should be given what they want?

How come Hillary wasn't treated like this for holding the exact same position? Also what happened to the idea of getting more flies with honey?

Its not very nice.

12. That would be an incorrect point that is not supported by the facts
Edited on Mon Sep-13-10 08:13 AM by NJmaverick

17. Of course, President Obama was talkingh about the Right Wing,
but leave it to you to sow division and animosity within the Democratic Party.

18. Sorry to disagree.
The President's critics are far harsher than anyone I ever heard bad-mouthing a dog.

Now my cat, when he gets me up at four am to go out, well that's different.
