If there's any doubt that the Freepers have lost their damn minds when it comes to the current President, one need only read their reaction to a suggestion that a 'movement' titled "Dump Obama" be started.

Let's expose their hatred for what it is.

I rather doubt Obama will run in 2012. I think the country will be experiencing the worst depression in American history over the next two years. I don’t remember a dump Bush movement so I don’t expect a dump Obama movement either. Even though I think they both belong in prison.

I support and will participate enthusiastically in a movement to dump Obama because I believe he is a liar, a psychopath . . .

I not only want to dump Obama, I want to dump him in prison for the rest of his life and I want him to eat everyday for the rest of his miserable life gulf seafood that is tainted with oil and Corexit.

inflammatory, uninformed, and not very intelligent. If that's the op's point, he's made it. I don't know very much about FDL, other than according to Jeremy Scahill one of their bloggers has done a phenomenal job reviewing the torture documents, and they pushed hard for single payer. I think I've been to their site once, maybe twice.

That being said, I followed the link and while I understand many at DU probably vehemently disagree with the article's point, it is fairly well-written, intelligent piece (which is not the same as saying it's right or wrong). In fact, I read through the first handful of comments, and most of them were fairly intelligible as well. Some of the people even disagreed with and others responded. A few I saw were just dumb, but come on, it's the comments section.

I kind of find the entire OP to be sort of intellectually dishonest. Cherry picking a handful of moronic, unintelligent statements about bodily functions and conspiracy theories (like we never see those on DU!) and using them to paint a broad brush stroke against an article/entire website.
