Lets be honest here. The senate is predominantly a rich white mans club. No one seems to mention the amount of money to gained or lost by the mostly rich, wealthy senate.

have disagreed with you, but day after day I feel as you do. The majority of voters in this country who do care about America have to accept scraps thrown to them by those in power. On the other hand masybe it has always been that way and I have been blind.

I'm not saying that the entire Senate is corrupt and in the pockets of the super rich, but enough of them are, and enough is all they need.

Few, if any, run with that thread, though, I'll concede. But I DO point out all the time that, for example, the average net worth of a Senator is something like $3M.

7. That's a very glaring

conflict of interest.

Why would wealthy Senators want to vote against their own wealth?

This is a very telling problem. When it comes down to their interests over ours, (Of course, I know it is largely that way anyway) then they are not in the appropriate position to decide these matters and, (like it is ever gonna' happen) it should then be taken to the people for a vote, or some other way should be utilized to decide these tax matters.

8. CBS News, and others, reported last Nov that there were 237 millionaires

in congress, or 44% of them. In the general population, only 1% are that wealthy.
