2. I agree.
Stand up to those morons and don't let the define this election! Make them vote and them make them pay if they vote NO! They think the democrats will back down because from past experience that seems to be what democrats do, but if they stand up to them, then they can define the nature of the elections, they can put through all kinds of votes and make republicans vote on them! The tax cut issue should be voted on as soon as possible! They must not back down!

If republicans block this, then all the tax cuts expire, and they will be the ones responsible for that!

7. How can "We The People" start a campaign on this so loud that it knocks
the so called Blue Dogs on their ass too?? What tools can we use to get our voices heard? I guess I'm ticked to hear the M$M & so called leaders constantly talking about it since most of them really make over, WAY OVER $250,000 and it appears most of them could care less about the rest of us!! It is not enough to hear it from President Obama as good as it makes me feel, it has to be over the top by US...NO Flip Flop on this one??? Any suggestions??

8. Here's the problem
The Senate will filibuster anything other than a full extension of the Bush tax cuts.

The House is reluctant to cast a vote that will change nothing, because the Senate will filibuster anything other than a full extension of the Bush tax cuts.

That's why it probably won't happen, and Boner will win his "good cop, bad cop" game. It was a trap, and we risk walking into it. Let all the tax cuts expire, and blame it on the Rethugs in the Senate.

11. Democrats have the responsibility of governing.
Should it come down to it, it is the Democrats who must act in the face of an obstructionist minority or 100% of voters will see a tax increase on January 1.

Obviously force Republicans to filibuster the middle class only tax extender package, but if it fails Democrats must act to avoid across the board tax hikes. The cost to the economy would outweigh whatever political points you might hope to score.
