FreedomWorks leader urges tea party to shift focus to legislative progress
By Amy Gardner

With electoral victories racking up - and a greater than ever chance that Republicans will take back the House this year - it's time for the "tea party" movement to transition from winning elections to influencing policy in Congress, former House majority leader Richard K. Armey said Monday. Speaking to reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, Armey, who is chairman of national tea party organizer FreedomWorks, spoke at length about the upcoming elections and the need to translate tea party victories at the ballot box into a legislative focus...

FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe, who spoke with Armey on Monday, said his organization decided to stay out of the primary because "we're not convinced that Christine O'Donnell can win." Kibbe also announced that FreedomWorks later this week will launch a new effort to attract support among minorities, which he called "Diverse Tea." "There is this nagging perception that we're not diverse enough," Kibbe said...

6. The beauty of this plan is, for every non-white person who joins "the movement"
they will lose 5 or so of the racists who sought comfort in the arms of the Tea Bagger Party.

Whatever the tea party started out as, doesn't matter. It's been a calling siren to all of the far right nutbags out there, and there's no way to UNDO that siren. Sorry, idiots!!

7. The McDonald's drive through will shut down for approximately two minutes
Which should be plenty of time to accommodate the non-white Tea Baggers.

I wonder, though: What "electoral victories" are the Tea Baggers "racking up" as alleged in the lede?

12. I guess they already are, aren't they?
:wtf:

Aren't they all "Tea Partiers" now? Why does there have to be a SEPARATE GROUP for MINORITY "Tea Partiers"???? I thought that Republicans were against "identity politics"???? *sigh* Oh well. Just another reminder that sometimes there is no logic (or consistency) to be found with these people. :banghead:
