Election Day is Tuesday 9/14. There's one very important race.
The NY Attorney General race is essentially down to two candidates. The choice is between a true "progressive" Democrat (Schneiderman) and an out of state former republican (Kathleen Rice). It's a very close race with lots of undecideds. Many of us have shown interest in Eric Dinallo. He is a qualified candidate, but he has no chance of winning. Schneiderman is endorsed by almost every "progressive" organization that we trust including Howard Deans DFA and lots of unions.

You can learn a lot more about the AG race in this thread:

Kristin is going to win. But the latest poll out there has her up 63-12 vs her opponent (Gail Goode). Gail is not a great candidate. The main reason to vote for her opponent is as a protest vote against "the process." Gail is a "unapologeitc gun control advocate" or a "gun grabber" as our fellow DUers would say.

Lazio has a pretty damn good chance to get knocked off by a teabagger for governor (Paladino).
The NY Republican comittee designated candidate (Blakemen) is likely to finish in last place in a three way race for US senate.
Come out and vote. Don't let a republican from Pennsylvania beat a Democrat from NY.
