Blue Cross and Kaiser representatives coming to work...need HELP!
They are coming to my workplace for an "all hands" meeting next week to explain what effects the new "health reform" will have on our insurance plans.
I will assume they are coming in to blame the new regulations on premium hikes, as one of the topics.

We have an employee representative from our labor group who is on the insurance committee. This committee looks for the best deals on a year-by-year basis.
She has been doing this for years and every year for the last decade at least this group has provided our percentage of rate hikes yearly.

Here is my pre-meeting strategy:
Gather as many years back as I can and make a spreadsheet (graphs) of the yearly hikes so when they try and blame this year's rate hikes I can point to the graph and ask them about year's past.
Find out CEO pay and profits earned (anyone know?) as an exclamation point.

I am the Chief Steward of our labor group.
I want to put these jackals on the spot in front of everyone.
Should I tape the meeting and report them to the Feds since they have been directed to not use regulation as an excuse?
Please give me some more ideas.

Thanks

5. Find their annual report
The CEO salary and profits earned will be in there. They might even be online at the company website.

access to CEO's pay should be easy. Or you could find the average pay of a CEO in your particular industry...Bureau of Labor might have that info. Or just call a headhunter and ask...they would have a very good idea.

Hope that is of help. Good Luck....kick 'em where it really hurts.

ETA: Email Omaha Steve....he'd probably have some good ideas, OK?

7. ask how much $ they spent lobbying against HCR
your premiums should not be used to pay for them to lobby against your best interests.
