What people don't seem to understand...
What people don’t seem to understand is that the rich are very fragile, and the richer they are, the more vulnerable they are. The peasants, on the other hand, are hardy, tough and not easily damaged by abuse. Therefore it is natural that the rich require exceptional protection and consideration. Since they are not capable of making a living by ordinary means such as through work, government has a special responsibility to them, and must make sure that their incomes are neither strained by excessive taxation (and truly, any taxation is excessive) nor limited by unfair laws that seek to limit their access the wealth of others, particularly the collective property of the peasants.

2. Europeans understand this.
Asians understand this. Americans still desire to believe that they too can become part of the elite club.
I used to argue with the Joe the plumbers of the world. For them, $75-80,000 in income gives them an entrance into the elite club.
They believe that someday they will become multi-millionaires. :eyes:

6. Exactly.
For some reason this myth refuses to die in this country. Perhaps it's because on rare -- and I do mean rare -- occasions it does happen. But you're not some kind of loser just because it doesn't.

5. Yep
Our job is to protect the weak.

Shame on you'ns that want to make the weak rich carry their fair share of the world like the poor huddling masses do every day.
