Biden labels GOP 'Republican Tea Party'
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. Vice President Joe Biden says the Republican Party's economic policies amount to a "Ponzi scheme masquerading as a vision."

Biden predicted Monday night Americans won't choose to go back to the GOP's disastrous policies when they head to the polls in November.

"This is not your father's Republican Party," Biden told a Pennsylvania fundraiser. "This is the Republican Tea Party -- the party of repeal and repeat. /snip

He reminded the audience that under the GOP, Wall Street ran amok, trading "exotic obligations" that caused the economy to crash.

Two wars, a new Medicare prescription drug benefit and tax cuts for the wealthy were "put on the credit card," he said. /snip
