DUers did you know that the IMF and the ILO met recently
and stated that unemployment is the greatest crisis facing the planet and that governments better employ plans to stimulate the economies of the world.
Don't expect the fascist corporate media to report on this meeting.

The global economic slump will not be over until employment growth has picked up again, the head of the International Monetary Fund warned yesterday (13 September) at a joint conference with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

The world's rich countries need to extend fiscal stimulus and job growth initiatives to fix a "dire" labour market that could threaten entire societies, the International Monetary Fund said.

At the ILO-IMF conference, visiting Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriquez Zapatero said high unemployment may trigger a "crisis of confidence" in Europe.

The IMF said more and more workers worldwide were unable to find jobs for longer periods, weakening social cohesion and raising risks of unrest and even undermining democracy.

Clearly the neo-liberals have been defeated in the IMF.
