Big Mac, on the telly now talking about the caloric party they have

been waging on the general public for decades. I believe they could just put those mirrors that make you look rounder in mikeedeez and perhaps the sale of fries would drop all by itself... publishing the nutritional info certainly doesn't seem to do the trick

1. People order what they want to eat. They don't order what they

don't want. It is that simple. I don't order anything at McDonalds. I don't want to eat that. It's a personal choice. I'm in favor of personal choice. It's a liberal value. Unrecommended for trying to decide things for others. Sorry.

4. Seems unlikely to me. I have many choices of places to eat.
I tend to choose ones that make good food that tastes good. Usually, I order healthful meals. Occasionally, I order awful food that tastes good. McDonalds offers neither, so I don't go there. I do miss In 'n' Out Burger, though. I miss it very much.

3. "...caloric jihad..."? Great--another word with incredibly serious
meaning that we can just start applying to anything that pisses us off at the moment.

Unrec for semantics alone.

7. Yah, you might want to change the Amurkan thing, too.

That is annoying, in its own right. I'm not sure what you were aiming at with that, but it doesn't help your case.

A well-reasoned, well-written argument used to make your point always goes further than a bad attempt at some sort of unidentifiable regional slang, it seems to me.

6. Indeed. The religious implication is quite annoying.
McDonalds is not a religion. It is a crappy restaurant that serves crappy food. Apparently some people like what they serve, though, since they seem to be making money at what they do. People are funny. They choose what they want.

There's a McDonalds near me. Within two blocks of it are a Subway, a Paneras, a couple of pizza places, a Burger King, a Taco Bell, and half a dozen sit-down restaurants. Within a mile, I can eat at over 100 places. Why would I go to McDonalds?

13. I have a weakness for the square fish. Every once in awhile (when I
am in a hurry) I'll break down and get one.
