Poll question: Do you find it offensive when someone tells you how you should act?
Or tells you what you should and shouldn't do.

3. Some people
Some people get really offended when they are told that they shouldn't lie, steal, cheat, and so on.

I wonder why that is?

7. Yes, but...
But creating a polling thread about it is just as bad.

10. It depends on the circumstances
in which I was being told.

If I'm very young, and the person is older, their experience could be enough to make me probably listen to them.

Really, if the person I'm with is far more familiar with the situation, I would appreciate being told the standards of behavior and protocol. I'm not ready to greet the Queen unless I know what I should say or how I should act.

11. Laws are "telling us what to do". The fact is, we need laws.
What I can't abide is people telling me what to think.
