Those 70% lie on the standard political spectrum from conservative to liberal. Some want faster, more aggressive change; others are skeptical of quick change; but all agree on the same broad general direction they want our country to go, and we share the same common values.

The other 30%, the "Movement Conservatives" and "Tea Party" freaks are NOT conservatives, they are radicals, they do NOT share the same common values with us, they are totally off the traditional spectrum of American politics.
