GOP--Co-opted by Neocons and Tea Party

During the Bush Administration the GOP was so evidently co-opted by the neocons and the PNAC.

Since the fiasco of the Iraq conflict that they talked us into, they have kept a lower profile (except on Fox.)

Now the tea party comes along. Most of them seem so innocently naive. They are disgruntled. Aren't we all! They know something is wrong, but they aren't sure how it got that way. They never mention, for instance, the huge cost of our wars.

My fear is that they will be used by the neocons just waiting in the wings to reassert their power in this country.

And they have been from the beginning. They aren't getting financial support from groups like FreedomWorks for nothing. And their anti-Muslim rhetoric is very helpful to neocons who want more war in the ME.

But do you think that most people recognize the danger from these groups? I don't mean the danger of losing Democratic party power. I mean the danger of our country being pulled into more militaristic action.

The ones who don't get it are the teabaggers themselves, who think it's all about taxes and size of government and our Kenyan Muslim Socilist President. They seem to be almost the only ones who can't see who's pulling their strings.
