Can we hold the house too?
Looks like we are going to keep the Senate..

Is it possible that we can hold on to the House also?

I know the MSM has counted us out... but will the madness of the Tea Party actually work in our favor?

I know a lot of new House members are from redder areas and are going to face an uphill climb.

But to be honest, our House members have done the yeo-mans majority of work, trying to get our agenda passed.

5. I never thought we were in serious danger of losing either.
Teabaggers may carry Repub primaries, but they aren't going to get any Dems in crossover, nor are they going to get the independents.

I think - I predict - that we hold the Senate, and lose 12-15 House seats, holding the House as well.

Just listening, and no real info otherwise..but just listening.. I wonder if in the end it will be republicans staying home.. your run of the mill republican, because they cannot identify with the tea party mind set

7. We can, and the House is the single area where individual
activism can make a huge difference. By working within a single congressional district, a small number of activists can actually shift an election, through direct, personal contact with voters. Contact your local Congressional candidate and volunteer to get involved with door-knocking or precinct-walking efforts. Or help man/woman a phone bank. It can shift a close election to our side.

We'll see if it works in MN6, where Michele Bachmann is facing a serious challenge that is strongly supported by volunteer campaigners. If Bachmann loses, it will be solely because of that effort.

9. The groupthink about losing either never really had much basis
They were mostly based on the nearly-meaningless "generic ballot".

10. Good point.. it sure has been the jinning by the MSM the last three or four
weeks.

To listen to them.. it was almost a push to depress the Democratic vote.

11. 538
538 and Mr. Silver have unfortunately been giving that prediction alot of credibility. I'm curious to see whether his analysis holds up in the end. The election could be his undoing if he isn't careful. Alternately, his predictions on the house have been kinda "all over the map" in the last month, which could mean either an instability in his methods, or a reflection of how close the whole race is.
