In all seriousness...
What does the Tea Party actually stand for besides "Fire Pelosi", "Fire Obama", and "Getting rid of big government?" because I can't seem to figure it out. Listening to Christine O'Donnell this morning, I didn't learn anything at all about where she stands on anything.

2. I'm a Southerner who's a Democrat, and I'm not changing, I'm just curious about all the fuss.
I'm glad that the repub from Georgia isn't a Tea Partier. Though, he's already dug himself a few more holes, I doubt that would make a difference.

3. Either they don't know, or they don't want you to know.

Interestingly, someone recently posted what would you do if a nazi asked if you were hiding a Jewish person.

Replace the jews with rich people with way more money that want to control society.

And the 'nazis' in there view as average people that want to distribute money.

And you understand why they can rationalize a lie, if they are lying. Some of them just don't say anything since if they told the truth, people would throw out the rich people that are corrupt.

Note this is about function not data. Not about Jewish people.

It is however the same thought process, they are protecting their group from the millions of unwashed masses in many cases. Although unlike the Nazi case, the people they are protecting may be doing some serious wrong, and it is not about some group of people by race or religion. Hence why transparency is needed to show that, and adjust the balance of society to a more just system.

Not sure if that is what she is doing, but many in many sectors do that exact thing.

The function is the same, but it is reversed.

It is more like, would you hide a corrupt person that is stealing for selfish reasons, although that is hyperbole.

Note that is a concept of who is corrupt is a judgment, and why I support legal systems, equal justice and transparency, so society can make those decisions based on best justice.

And education so society can make those decisions.

And she actually seems like a mostly good lady.

5. They want to 'take back the country' to the days when only white people were in power. Doesn't
matter that some of their people have lower IQs than gnats.

6. The Tea Party doesn't stand FOR anything.
It stands AGAINST onehelluvalot.

That's one reason it has grown. It's about complaining -- something many people excel at.

8. That's what I figured. But IF one/some get into office, what would they do when it comes to actually
doing something, like not complaining, or coming up with an idea. It's like the NYC Club Kids of the 80s/90s...famous for almost nothing, I guess.

10. They'd do what the highest paying lobbyist told them to do.
Because I don't think they're intelligent enough to do otherwise. Of course, that applies to more than a few elected Democrats as well.

7. They're pissed about the same things we are
They blame the government for enabling corporations whereas we blame corporations for corrupting the government.

12. I keep saying the same thing...
The GOP TeaBagger wranglers have set up this nice little projection, haven't they?

They use the same key phrases we've used for decades, but they don't understand the definitions of a lot of words.

This is just more of the same smoke and mirrors... they have a lot of low information people all whipped to a froth, but the frothy ones really have no clue as to why they are all worked up. You can't get past the bumper sticker rhetoric with them... you can't have a conversation with parrots!

14. I don't know but NPR was gushing all over the 'baggers this morning
I heard them play Ms. O'Donnell's clip "Never underestimate the power of we the people" at least 4 times in 2 hours.

Cokie Roberts and some expert then claimed the tea party was comprised of intelligent, bright Americans and there was no way they could possibly define the growing, flourishing movement.
