"Ground Zero" includes everywhere the dust cloud reached - Paladino (R-NY) CNN

and he doesn't want any new mosques anywhere inside "Ground Zero".

(CNN, just now)

He was totally ignorant of the difference between Sufi, Sunni, and Shiite too. He just lumped em all together. That's like saying Southern Baptists and Lutherans and Amish are all the same.

Am I wrong for enjoying watching these loony teabaggers get more national attention? :bounce:

7. There's a mosque a block away from me in Brooklyn Heights...

I got WTC dust and I'm sure they did to. Perhaps Carl could knock on their door and explain the new definition...

...and while he's at it, maybe he should walk down to Atlantic Ave and close down the dozen or so Middle Eastern restaurants and groceries.

If there is a moderate faction in today's GOP leadership (which seems doubtful) I can't imagine what they're thinking after Delaware and NY.

11. I'm sitting here watching this & not believing my ears
I pressed the DVR button so my son can see this later, because there is no way I could explain this interview.

Heaven help NY should he win the general election. But I don't think he will. The more he talks, the more ramped up the voters will be to ensure this Repub never wins.

This guy is scary!

13. Hell Yes!
I think of that dust cloud as defining a national park like primitive area. I think we should remove all traces of humans from the area. No Businesses, no buildings, no roads, no telecom towers. Nothing but rubble covered in ash.

Then we can turn it into a prison and drop Snake Plissken in by helicopter.

Awesome.

21. Oh, this guy is just a peach, isn't he. I wasn't familiar with his name,
so I googled it and this is the first thing I found:

Back in April, emails from Paladino surfaced in which he forwarded bestiality videos and tons of racist jokes. He fired back, saying, in short, that he's not racist and he doesn't enjoy watching horses have sex with women. But whatever, the past is the past, right? Since then he's been laying down his platform, and taking on issues the Tea Party loves to hate, like welfare. Besides reducing the state's budget by 20 percent and cutting taxes, Paladino has a solution for people on welfare: relocate them to prison dormitories. Paladino spoke to the AP:

Instead of handing out the welfare checks, we'll teach people how to earn their check. We'll teach them personal hygiene ... the personal things they don't get when they come from dysfunctional homes."

You have to teach them basic things - taking care of themselves, physical fitness. In their dysfunctional environment, they never learned these things."

Is my nose part of Ground Zero, too?

I had to go to the doctor for acute sinusitis and everything!

25. The next day when the winds
changed the cloud came right up the Hudson, and I'm as north as Lincoln Center. Saw it and smelled it. Horrendous smell of chemicals and burned flesh. I'll NEVER forget it.
