Fox News should require Rove to answer to this charge. If he really did act as a helpmate for Rep. Mike Castle this damages Rove's veracity as an analyst. He has just made himself suspect. You can't be both a political player and an autonomous, disinterested analyst. Will Fox suspend Rove over this? They certainly should if he really did work to help Castle, in any case.

3. Can you imagine if CNN or MSNBC analysts were raising half as much for Democrats?

Of course you can't. (I mean a generic you, of course.) The right wing has made it practically illegal for media to declare themselves Democrats, let alone support Democrats with time, words and money. But Fox is just blatant about it--and no one cares!

Media Matters' ad about News Corp's $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association finally aired Tuesday night on Fox News.

The network had rejected the ad based on a variety of claims, and after a back-and-forth with the organization, finally approved the spot.

"And now, a special message about a story that's not yet been covered on Fox News primetime, brought to you by Media Matters for America," the ad opens. It then quotes News Corp exec Jack Horner's explanation for the political donation, saying the company "believes in the power of free markets..and the RGA's pro-business agenda supports our priorities at this most critical time for our economy."

"And that's why News Corp. has donated $1 million to oppose Democratic candidates this November," the ad concludes.
