I've Been Watching The Media Today
I've noticed a very subtle change as the day has gone on regarding Christine O'donnell, the Tea Party and the Repugs.

Its gone from...O'donnell has no chance to win and the republicans are down and being dragged down by the Tea Baggers.

to

The Republican's have juice...sure they have flawed candidates....but they are excited and are positioned to
win with their Tea party candidates. The Dems are whistling past the graveyard and seeing hope where there
is none...etc etc etc. The Dems are so dispirited they might not even vote...etc etc etc.

I have always thought the media was biased. I see it in the coverage of the rallies.

However, today it seems like the media is invested in insuring a Democratic loss. I have even heard some regular
commentators predict O'donnell wins Delaware on her excitement and Palin-like good looks.

1. yes, that's the narrative they like--then they can bluster about how it's always like this
at the midterms, so they can look smart because they called the race before. It's all crap. They just don't want to do their jobs, because if they did them right, their Republican bosses would fire them and get them black listed.

2. So, nothing has changed.
Thankfully the Democratic voters aren't owned by the media.

3. It appears that all the Repubics want
is a "good looking" candidate.
No experience necessary.
They dump the experienced Castle for some bimbo babelicious CILF*.
You can taste the idiocy. It's polluting the air.

*CILF = Congressperson I'd Like to.....

Also there's SILF....

5. She's 40 something, single and decries masturbation
So, she's either lying, or dead from the waist down. Either way, I can't see why anyone would want this forty year old virgin.

4. A little advice
Don't watch the MSM, it will rot your brain. My proof? The average American TV viewer.

7. You know Tavalon
that is very sound advice, and I know as I stopped watching MSM for anything other than the occasional laugh for the last 25 years.

When you get out of the grip of thinking all that shit is firstly, urgent, and secondly even remotely accurate, then you begin to see how they frame all the messages they are selling.

Hidden Persuaders. Great book and I read it a long time ago. Even more true today than ever before. Focuses on the advertisers' development of techniques they prove get into peoples' heads. That is what is so fascinating about Mad Men. This is all stuff honed and refined on Madison Ave. first, then borrowed and re-shaped to suit their needs by political operatives over the years.

Now should I take the red pill or the blue pill.

Just my dos centavos

8. Doesn't matter what they say
The voters decide. That's why we need to mobilize. Just because the GOP now has crappy candidates doesn't mean we win. It's still all up to GOTV efforts.

What would really suck is not mobilizing and actually having people like O'Donnell in Congress.

And don't underestimate the shallowness of people. We never though Palin would still be around, but she's perky and not too bad looking. Credible to them means the blonde bimbos on Fox.

9. They don't realize that it is candidates like this who will galvanize Dems to vote, even if ro
Obama isn't exactly what we expected, the thought of people like this entering high office is enough to get people out to vote, IMO.
