Gathering of the Eagles

A Welcome Message from
Dr. William “Ames” Curtright, DBA
Your Host

My Friends welcome to the Gathering of the Eagles!...

Our purpose in gathering together here at the Ames Ranch is to bring unity, strength, wisdom and comradeship to the Oregon Republican Party in the pursuit of lower taxes and a smaller government.

...

We believe in the Pledge of Allegiance and that God should be a part of our government and our schools.

We believe in a Godly nation and a Christian nation.

...

We believe that Liberalism and Socialism are the enemy of our people.

...

We believe People have the right to bear arms and the duty to overthrow their Government when it fails to perform and when resolution and legislation fail to correct it.

We believe administrations who violate our constitutional rights and lawmakers who pass laws they do not read should be held accountable and not only sent home for their wrong doings but punished to the full extent of the law.

---------------------------------
Legally punished for voting "wrong"?

THE SCHEDULE FOR THE GOP EVENT IS ON THE GATHERING OF EAGLES WEBSITE

1. Less taxes. Hmm. Do they want fewer roads? More potholes?
Just sayin'. I've been listening to these people talk about smaller government and less taxation.

But I have yet to hear a plan on how they plan to provide for a fucking thing to which they have become so accustomed which defines the "land of the free."

They can all go eat some deregulated salmonella eggs. Fuck them.

2. Dudley is a stooge
When he was earning big money playing with balls, he lived in Washington to avoid Oregon taxes. I could also live in Washington, and avoid those taxes. I live in Oregon.

4. Well, you couldn't avoid income tax
You'd still have to pay non-resident income tax, just like Dudley had to pay non-resident income tax on the salary the Blazers were paying him. Unlike you, though, Dudley also had ancillary income from other sources, like endorsement deals, appearance fees, and so forth. That money wasn't subject to Oregon income tax.

Of course, as scrupulous and honest a guy as Chris Dudley no doubt is, I'm sure that during the time he domiciled in Washington, he made sure to report all the purchases he made in Oregon so that he could pay his Washington state sales tax on those items (there being no sales tax in Oregon). Otherwise, Dudley looks like your standard-issue tax chiseler, and we know the Republicans would never stand for that in a candidate. Not a Democratic candidate, for sure.

6. Did the make up their own Constitution and Bill of Rights
I certainly don't see where it says we should have a religious government. Everyone with any sense, knows that the Constitution calls for separation of church and state. So I suppose they wrote their own. and isn't is just too too mushy that they are always calling their organizations something that they think is so patriotic ...if they were so patriotic they would protect the REAL CONSTITUTION and not make one up on their own.
