so, today at the doctors office
Edited on Wed Sep-15-10 05:09 PM by onethatcares
I mentioned to the doc that I was planning on opening a new business after the first of the year. He said, "Even with all the stuff Obama is doing? Aren't you scared?"

I replied that I wasn't any more scared than I was when raygun took office and I started my first business.

It got really quiet at that point and we went on with the physical exam. I should have waited until after the prostate check though.

:argh:

6. Said my pal Ray
who was too chicken to go in for a prostate exam on his own:

Doctor: "Do you feel any pain at the end of my finger?"

Ray: "I don't know about your finger, but my ass sure hurts!!!"

Professionals should refrain from political or religious discussions with clients or patients. The oral surgeon I visited to have my wisdom teeth removed had crosses and such all over the office. When I asked to keep the teeth he was removing, he seemed shocked and asked why. I responded "Personal beliefs.", and he never said another word to me.

8. well my internist referred to a local gynecologist
as a right wing fundie freak from hell. She was right too, he has a bible in his office when you walk in with a sign under it with a woman holding a baby and the word "Adoption" under it. :puke:

 is what I say about that.

9. Too Funny.......
Most Doctor are Republicans. No wonder the health care bill got such a bad shack.

I know from my experience, When "W" was elected the 2nd time my Physician sent me to a so-called specialist over stomach issued.
It happened to be the day after the election, upon entering the office it was like a party.
Young attractive receptionist, giggling and little interest in the patients.

When I got to to see this doctor, all he wanted to do was talk Politics. He was a big supporter of "W".
I wanted to walk out and say forget it.

Well long story short:
He sent me for test that require me to eat radioactive material in some oatmeal.
Lay on my back for 2+ hours while they MRI my digestive system every 2 minutes.

The problem was after my insurance got banged for this expensive process.
There where never any results or anything even mentioned about me having this test.

Money for nothing, No wonder he was a Bush supporter.

A side note.
I did file a complaint against him with my insurance company.

10. VERY unprofessional
No doctor, lawyer, accountant or any other professional should be making political comments to you during the course of their service to you.

11. The thing is, they don't even feel like such comments are "political"..
As far as right wingers are concerned what they say is just "common sense" and has nothing to do with politics.
