I received another one of those e-mails yesterday that is circulating and, of course, is totally wrong. This particular e-mail was touting Lee Iacocca's book, "Where Have all The Leaders Gone?" The e-mail is saying that Iacocca is calling out Obama in his book:

"Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage with this so called president? We should be screaming bloody murder..."

I answered the e-mail sender by reminding him that the book was published in April, 2007 and that Iacocca was talking about the bush administration. Here is the response I just received:

"Don't worry. You were never on our email list. Believe me, blind, liberal assholes are not high on our correspondence list! So enjoy your little romp in the obama sewer, we'll stay out of it."

What a classy guy. He sends out false info and I'm the A$$hole??? They sure don't like to have their misinformation corrected,do they?

I mean really. Somebody, somewhere must be doing this as a job. This isn't the work of some random conservative who reads an Iacocca spiel and suddenly decides to re-word it to attack Obama. And this isn't the first time some random bullshit appears out of nowhere and is suddenly everywhere.

I wish someone would start an email trail project that people could send in these bullshit emails to so that the originator could be exposed by tracking through the email trail. If we could expose the people/organizations responsible for creating the lies, we might be able to stop them or at least slow them down. Personally, I think that would make an interesting newspaper story.

4. The "rank" and file of the Republican party have been brainwashed.

I overheard two old men discussing the entire RW talking point library. From immigrants to "Obama is a liar." It's as if they've never heard of George W. Bush.

I guess I should stop waiting for these nasty bastards to apologize for the George W. Bush pResidency. They talk about responsibility but when the heck are they going to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the AWFUL GWB mess? (I guess they'll never open their fat wallets to pay for the GWB disaster.)

7. I always Reply All whenever I get one of those e-mails.

Sometimes I will receive a thank you from one of the people who received my Reply All message Unfortunately, I also receive some very unpleasant replies from others who don't want to hear the truth. This time I was called some very unflattering names. Isn't it funny how those who called me names didn't bother to mention that they were wrong to believe that a book published in 2007 was about President Obama. Guess they totally forgot who was the prez from 2000 through 2008.

Reply All. I find that when I do that, debunking whatever horse shit has been sent to me in a mass email, the one who sent to me tends to take me off their list. Sometimes I think they might actually stop sending out the mass emails altogether, but I'm not entirely certain.

I do know that every single time I'm a recipient of one of those pieces of crap the information is always always always wrong. And notice that the liberals never send out misinformation about the right in that way.

I even toss in some jabs once in a while. She gets the emails from some fundemental nutcase that just won't stop preaching Jesus and damning Obama.

Whenever I hear the crap in public, I stop and interject my 2 cents. So far I haven't been shot.:evilgrin:
