Can Elizabeth Warren start speaking out on her plans ASAP?
I'm wondering what the media strategy is for her. She is such an asset politically for Dems, I hope she'll be on all the Sunday shows, plus MSNBC and CNN, very soon and very often.

I also hope she'll be on both Stewart and Colbert's show...

She was often on Morning Joe and I would tune in just to see her...what a delight!

1. That's the impression I got from Rachel -- she's not under the constraints
she would be otherwise.

Not only are we thrilled, I think she will go a long way in helping the other side see reality.

If you didn't see Rachel's piece on Warren, let me know. I'll come back with the link. :hi:

2. I just watched it which is why I ask...if she's free to speak, she can really
give the Dems a wonderful, knowledgeable, obviously caring person. When she talks about people who were caught in "tricks and traps" of unscrupulous mortgage sales people, she comes across as the Real Deal...

3. Dylan Ratigan just had Bernie Sanders on and they were discussing her position.
They both think she'll do very well and think Obama's handling of her "appointment" was brilliant.

I'm thinking she may even get through to some of those who are knee-jerk opposed to her just because Obama chose her. She's incredibly impressive and as you say, so real.

I think I read that the 'formal' announcement will be made Friday -- did you see that, or was that just my imagination?

4. I read the same thing about the formal announcemnt on Friday...
I'd be surprised to hear her comment before then.

6. Agree -- but hey -- that's tomorrow! I'm hoping at least she'll be making a
statement so the vast majority of Americans can get an introduction to her.

8. She's the best thing Obama's got going right now for progressives.
I mean, in the political sense, to help preserve some Dems seats in Congress. She can win over Independent voters. I'll bet the WH focus grouped her with Independents on her popularity and she came out with high marks.

5. That was Rachel's selling point. It remains to be seen if it's true.

7. Dylan Ratigan just had Bernie Sanders on and they said essentially the same thing -
and both were very pleased by her appointment (if appointment is the correct word). So, yes, it remains to be seen but I'm very optimistic about this.

9. I think she's a gift to Obama. He wouldn't have appointed her if she wasn't.

10. She may be a gift to Obama but that isn't the same
as being an effective head of this agency.

11. It's Friday now - Where's your Friday Challenge??
I've been waiting for it all day!

And I really need a break from all the Christine O'Donnell threads.
