The shit is getting deep.

Nothing gets the attention of the big shots and the politicians like talk of a taxcut or a tax increase. They run to every camera and every reporter to tell the lie of the moment. There are not enough people with shovels to clean it up.

Are we going to extend the Bush taxcuts or are we not? Is Pelosi adamantly opposed to extending the taxcuts for the wealthy or has she changed her mind? Is Harry Reid going to permit a vote to extend the taxcuts for the millionaires or will he let them expire? Do all tax bills have to originate in the House, per our Constitution? Or are they going to extend the taxcuts for two more years only? Etc. etc.

I wish we knew what they were going to do. We think they are only going to extend the cuts for the middle-class but we simply do not know for sure. We think they are going to let the tax cuts for the wealthy expire? But we don't know. We'll only know for sure when they come out with a jar of Vaseline in their hands...

cave in and worse yet they will extend them until 2012 so the Republicans can run on the same issue in a Presidential election year. And that isn't sarcasm.
