If you want to stay well informed, the next time you see an oil or chemical company pr ad on TV, be sure to Google that company. Corporatations have insurance, and their insurer usually has a clause that demands that they air public relations ads on TV in order to minimize their potential liability any time they have an accident or anything else that could result in civil damages. For example, if BP blows up a bunch of workers or pours oil on the Gulf, in order to collect on their insurance, they have to run smarmy ads about how much
they love you .
Tonight, Shell had an ad about how much they
love Japanese children. So, I googled Shell. Too bad they did not love Nigerians back in the 1990s when their friends in the government of that country were executing those who opposed Shell's operations.
