And The 2010 Values Voter Summit Straw Poll Winner Is...
Pence/Palin 2012

Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) won both the presidential and vice-presidential straw poll at the Values Voter Summit in Washington this afternoon. The second-place finisher in the VP contest, Sarah Palin, was promoted to winner, leaving the VVS choice Pence/Palin 2012.

"What a dream ticket," Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council and host of the VVS, said to applause from the crowd.

I'm pretty sure that 2 years ago I predicted that he'd be the nominee. Searching.

6. And for all his lies and Obama bashing just where
was the one eyed Newt in the voting. Didn't see his name anywhere. I would love to see some silly big old scandel take hold about him...I would love it, love it, love it.

8. Mike Pence. He is the Devil's doorman, surely.
Calculating, bitter-shrewd, soulless, unpardonably Far Right, deeply in love with his own self-image and even more in love with himself as wielder of political power.

It will be interesting to see if the two Indiana GOP hopefuls -- Mitch and Mike -- can remain ostensibly polite through the primaries or if the wheels come off and the knives come out.
