Just got this re RUSS FEINGOLD
Nikki -

Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold needs our support right now.

For months, polling has shown Russ neck and neck with his right-wing opponent Ron Johnson and Johnson has already spent over $4 million on slash-and-burn television ads to mislead voters and scare up votes. In fact, he's been out spending Russ on T.V. by 3 to 1 and as of this week, it appears to be working. The most recent polling shows Senator Feingold down by 7%.

This is unacceptable.

Senator Russ Feingold is one of the strongest progressive fighters in the Senate. Time after time Russ has delivered for America and Wisconsin. It's up to us to make sure he has the resources to fight back and win.

Contribute $5 now and give Russ Feingold the resources to fight back

Ron Johnson is a multimillionaire right-wing Republican who wants to cut Social Security, repeal the entire healthcare bill, and extend all the Bush-Cheney tax cuts for wealthy millionaires instead of helping middle class Americans. He's already committed to spending at least 15 million of his own money to win. When asked how much more of his personal fortune he's be willing to dump into his own election, his response was "all of it."

The good news is we can beat Ron Johnson and re-elect Russ Feingold with people-power.

Russ is running a real grassroots campaign. They've already contacted 228,696 Wisconsin voters, opened 22 field offices across the state, and his most recent T.V. ad is playing in heavy rotation. Russ will win not just because he has a strong record of delivering for Wisconsin, he'll win because he has the best volunteers and supporters working to get out the vote.

In short, Russ will win, because of you.

Contribute now and send a real progressive back to the U.S. Senate

Let's face it; elections are going to be close all over the country this November. It's up to us to make sure we take great progressives like Russ Feingold over the top on Election Day.

Working together, we're unstoppable. That's why I know I can count on you today.

-Howard

1. I Donated To This
Russ _must_ be re-elected, he is one of the most independent senators that we have. His presence has given me hope this last decade. I urge everyone to contribute to this if you can...

2. K&R for Feingold ~
Is the Party Leadership helping him? They don't seem to have much interest in helping progressives.

5. Correction, Howard Dean is helping
He is no longer the DNC chairman. ;)

Hey wait guys, a donation to ACT-BLUE does not seem to be a donation to Feingold. Its just to donate money to them, and then they will donate a portion of that to a candidate.

If you want to donate, go here: https://secure3.convio.net/fsc10/site/Donation2?df_id=1520&1520.donation=form1

9. Thanks, I never donate to Pacs, I prefer to donate directly
to candidates.

I'm glad Howard is helping, but it's disturbing if the Party Leadership has decided not to support Feingold. I would hope that the president would be at least doing what he did for Blanche Lincoln considering how much better a Democrat Feingold is.

4. I just sent my
donation. I try to help when I can. I sent Tarryl Clark a donation a few days ago.

I cannot make a difference in my state, as I never have any Democratic candidates even within shouting distance of being elected. The trials of living in the Mormon owned, red state of Utah. My vote never counts, ever.

7. I'm paid on Thursday, and will be donating directly to Feingold, Carnahan, Conway, Boxer, and
Chris Coons and Joe Sestak.

More donations to come every time I paid, with travels to PA to help out my neighbors there and get Sestak elected!!

8. I can't afford to give, but if you can I would encourage it
One (of many) unfortunate things about American politics is that money is crucial. The fact is that the vast majority of voters will never meet Russ Feingold in person despite the fact that he does more retail politics than just about anybody at that level. The vast majority of voters will never be canvassed or called by his field organizers either. They will decide how to vote based on TV commercials which cost a lot of money especially statewide.

10. Is it possible to set up a phone-banking system for
him? I am not in his district, but we are all affected by what the Senate and Congress does so we do have a stake in these elections even if they are not our own districts.

11. Yes, there are virtual phone banks now
If you call the campaign office and tell them you want to phone bank remotely one of their people can set you up to do it.

14. Is anything being done about the rumored
election fraud that is being planned in Wisconsin? If voter caging and other intimidating practices in Wisconsin's democratic districts isn't addressed, what good will a lot of money do?
