I would never talk to Fox ‘News’

I think any serious Democratic Presidential candidate would do well by ignoring Fox ‘News’ . Since Fox News is not really new I do not see the harm in ignoring them. No one who watches Fox ‘News’ will vote Democratic anyways so why waste you time talking to a GOP propaganda network.

1. Hmmm. I tend to disagree.

Ever heard the saying "keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer?" I think it's a smart move for Wesley Clark to appear regularly on Fox as an analyst; often getting into it with the resident idiots (he always gets the better of them). One of Clark's main points about foreign policy is that there must be diplomacy - we must talk to our enemies in order to be successful in the world. Hmmm.

If he runs for president, he may very well get quite a few Fox viewers' votes; not every single one of them is a die-hard Republican. All presidential candidates should be willing to appear, they just might change someone's mind.

2. That's part of Clark's biartisian appeal.
He sort of bridges the gap without compromising on our liberal values...conservatives admire people with spine, so people who forcefully disagree with them, rather than try to ingore them, often get more respect...they seem less duplicitous.

3. I agree totally. I have said that here several times and always get smacked down. They say
that Fox is too big to discount and I see it as fake "news" and GOP propaganda. All Democrats do by going on is to help make them "credible" and "fair and balanced". Clark pisses me off for going on that show for these reasons. That asshole Colmes is a wimp and whipping post for the more glib reporters. If we could get 1/4 of one percent of Fox viewers' vote it would be a lot.

4. I'm not sure on this
Fox does have its uses - you can't expect much out of them, but you can't much out of any news service these days.

The one thing Fox does have is a solid conservative reputation - which means that they can say things the other networks wouldn't. The other networks would be afraid of the bias stick.

5. Faux Noize Channel ... I'd talk to them the way I'd talk to ... Ellen or Oprah
It's not a NEWS channel; it's just TALK.

With apologies to Ellen and Oprah, who probably have more substance (esp. Oprah).
