Keep dubya's library out of SMU! - DU this petition!!

THE PETITION

We the undersigned express our objection to the prospect of the George W. Bush library, museum, and think tank being established at Southern Methodist University. As United Methodists, we believe that the linking of his presidency with a university bearing the Methodist name is utterly inappropriate. We urge the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University and the South Central Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church to reject this project.

2. Why is SMU so concerned, a Dubya library would only take up

...about the same space as a broom closet. Bush has never written anything, his speeches have all been downloaded on the internet and the guy just does not read. I doubt if Bush keeps a diary or a journal and as far as memoirs are concerned, Bush is unable to remember what he said two days ago let alone recall anything of importance from his presidency. Once he is booted from office, he will flee to Paraguay and beofre that will shread most of the important documents.
